Chelsea extended their unbeaten run in the Premier League to four games courtesy of a 5-2 thrashing of Wolves at Molineux. The game lacked intensity in the opening half an hour with both sides struggling to find a clear route towards goal.
It took a moment of magic from Fikayo Tomori to force the game into life after Chelsea had attempted to work a short corner.
Wolves failed to clear and the ball fell to Tomori who audaciously struck at goal from 30 yards to bag his first-ever Premier League goal.
Just two minutes later the Blues doubled their lead as Tammy Abraham netted his fifth of the 2019-20 campaign.
Tomori was heavily involved as he drove deep into opposition territory before laying the ball to Mason Mount inside the box.

The latter was dragged down but referee Graham Scott allowed the play to develop and Abraham swivelled before drilling home.
The striker doubled his tally for the game on 40 minutes when Wolves once again failed to clear their lines. Marcos Alonso delivered a cross from the left-hand side and England international Abraham brushed aside Conor Coady to head home.
Abraham, clearly oozing confidence, wrapped up his hat-trick 10 minutes after the restart as he glided past Coady and slotted across goal into the bottom left corner.
Wolves rarely threatened in front of goal but did net what appeared to be a consolation when Romain Saiss headed towards goal, the effort was parried by Kepa Arrizabalaga and deflected over the line off the arm of Abraham.
The home side went on to reduce the deficit further in the closing stages through substitute Patrick Cutrone after Kepa once again parried when Matt Doherty drilled at goal.
However, the final say went to the Blues with Mason Mount curling home in stoppage time to seal back-to-back away Premier League victories.
Chelsea still remain without a clean sheet in the Premier League this term and that will be a concern for Frank Lampard, but scoring at the other end certainly doesn’t seem to be a problem.Copyright © 2021 Completesports.com All rights reserved.
