Wolves ‘Make Bid’ For Monaco Youngster

Wolves have reportedly submitted a bid for Monaco’s young defender Benoit Badiashile but may battle Manchester United for his signature. The centre-back enjoyed an excellent debut season for the principality outfit, starting 20 Ligue 1 games after making his debut in a 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in November last year.

Capped at various France age groups, the former SC Malesherbes youth player is tipped as a star of the future and, according to L’Equipe, Wolves have offered Monaco 36m euros for the youngster. However, United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is also aware of Badiashile’s quality and is known to be investing in youth as he plots a revolution at Old Trafford.

Monaco chief Oleg Petrov is said to be considering Wolves’ bid as he has strong ties with super-agent Jorge Mendes but it remains to be seen if the starlet fancies Molineux or the Theatre of Dreams. He would certainly see more game time in the West Midlands but the prestige of playing for United might be too much to resist.
