Wolves To Up Camacho Bid – Report

Wolves are set to up their initial offer of £10m for Liverpool youngster Rafael Camacho, according to reports. It had been suggested last month that the Molineux outfit were keen on the former Portugal Under-18 star and had tested the water with an opening offer.

With the former Manchester City youth player set to enter the final year of his contract with the Reds, it was hoped that they would be able to pick him up for a relatively small fee although it seems Anfield chiefs are holding out for more.

The 19-year-old made two appearances for the Merseysiders in the season just finished – in the FA Cup defeat to Wolves at Molineux on January 7 and in a 43 Premier League victory over Crystal Palace at Anfield. It appears Liverpool are willing to let the youngster’s contract run its course as he will be available for nothing next summer, but they may well be tempted to sell if Wolves bid what they are seeking.

Despite his lack of senior experience, Spanish giants Real Madrid have been linked in the past for the player who was on the bench when Liverpool beat Tottenham to win the Champions League.
