World Athletics Launches ‘Athletics At Home’

World Athletics on Tuesday launched a new series, Athletics At Home, which is designed to help people of all ages to stay fit, active and engaged during this period of unprecedented lockdown around the world due to the coronavirus outbreak.

The content, which will appear on both the athletics body’s website and social media channels, is divided into four themes: Kids, Active, Rewind and Unwind.

The first one which is the Kids includes activities, quizzes, online tutorials and interviews with some of the sport’s biggest stars.

The aim is to entertain and educate while providing ideas to explore and motivation to exercise.

Active highlights a number of exercises, suitable for the whole family and fans of all ages, to help one stay fit and healthy at home.

Rewind is a nightly feature looking back at sensational athletics action from the past. It was launched last week with daily World Athletics watch parties at where a number of sensational finals from last year’s World Athletics Championships in Doha are relived.

And for Unwind, this features suggestions of athletics-related books to read, films to watch and music playlists from some of your favourite athletes, including the likes of Noah Lyles’ pre-race tunes.

To keep up to speed, viewers are advised to check in regularly with the World Athletics website and our Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube channels.
