2022 WCQ: Super Eagles To Lodge In Three-Star Hotel In Kumasi

Super Eagles players and officials will lodge in the three-star Noda Hotel in Kumasi, ahead of Friday’s 2022 World Cup first leg playoff, according to ghanasoccernet.com.

According to the top Ghanaian media outfit, Aisha Falode, a member of the NFF Executive Committee, who led a federation inspection team to Kumasi on Friday, said Ghana Football Association recommended the hotel as other major hotels in the city had been booked.

“The Kumasi venue was a last-minute decision after the Cape Coast Stadium was not approved by CAF to host the game,” Falode was quoted to have told PUNCH Sports Extra.

“There were so many government and corporate activities already lined up during the week of the match in Kumasi. I’m told the president of the country (Ghana) is also hosting some kind of political events there. So, all the hotels are booked and filled.”

When asked if the Noda Hotel was right for the Eagles, Falode added: “It’s not the kind of hotel the Eagles are used to, but it’s also a hotel you can’t say isn’t befitting of the Eagles. The hotel won’t be as important as the pitch where they’ll play.”

The Noda Hotel is just 9km from the Baba Yara Stadium, venue of the first leg encounter between the Black Stars and the Eagles.

A check on the hotel by ghanasoccernet.com reveal that it has a multilingual staff and 79 air-conditioned rooms with flat-screen TVs with satellite channels.

The hotel also provides free Wi-Fi, features an outdoor swimming pool and fitness centre, an on-site restaurant with free continental breakfast, a bar/lounge and free private parking.

And so they decided to have all the FIVE STAR HOTELS booked so they can forced the SE to stay in the ones they have planted their JUJU. LMFAO!!!!

    • Oakfield 2 years ago

Lol@monkey….. But they’ll soon discover that juju don’t play football otherwise they should have won the nation’s cup since they last won it in the 1960s and 70s.. Lol….Going more than 40yrs without a silver ware is not ordinary, na juju be that…. Lol…

    • Meaning that they indirectly forced Super Eagles to the hotel.

I didn’t blame ghanaians. I blame NFF for this rubbish. What stopped nff to take this matter to fifa since caf has compromised.

I won’t be surprised by the time our players would start complaining of bad services at the hotel.
Ghanaians government split the stadium approved by fifa the match was shifted to another location and same government booked all the good hotels in the area but their team got good hotel and nff continue to take the nonsense.

If nff continue with the match even if we beat them in the first match let’s treat the badly by the time they come for the second leg so that they will know that awe can do worst.

I think it’s time we start paying them back with their coins. Any contreat that trrat our player well we treat them well and any player that treat our players bad we treat them bad.
This will make them behave themselves in future.

      • sorry for the typo errors. I was angry when typing.

Angry for a hotel u aren’t going to sleep in or stay in

U not only stupid but retarded as well lol

U dumb as a SHEEP lol

Go drink some pure water because u seems tired lol

  • This is purely disgusting, just a three star hotel, while if they come to Nigeria the best hotel will be reserved for them,I don’t get it. JUJU will be planted in every room in the hotel, Chayii Ghanaians Don’t play fair at all

    • Why aren’t CSN talking about the news about Eguaveon changing his list, by bringing awaziem to replace omeruo, and that they are waiting for Ndidi scan report to know if he will be available for the second leg , if he isn’t then the report says that eguaveon tends to skip onazi and go for Bonke innocent or Alhassan Yusuf. Pls CSN be giving us news steadily pls, up to now no news about Maduka okoye or the exploit if Dessers. Do the CSN don’t watch the eredivisie???

Eguavoen needs to act fast and call up a replacement for Ndidi right now. Why is he waiting for a scan report when it was obvious that he had a suspected medial ligament injury of the knee, we all know that knee injuries are usually dangerous and often reoccur without operation, so even a fan like me know that there is no way Ndidi can be fit for the match on Friday or next week Tuesday.

These “Our own” coaches always show their lack of depth in every aspect of this game called football hence the reason we all know that they are not capable of tinkering this team to greater heights.

I’d advise the NFF to reject this hotel. Even impromptu arrangement for caravans to be installed in open spaces is preferable. The excuse that all the hotels in the area are booked is a BIG lie.

NFF should report this unethical behaviour to FIFA/CAF and request postponement of the match if an acceptable arrangement cannot be made.

A situation where we don’t have a choice to arrange for a safe and decent accommodation for our boys is unacceptable. This is what Pinnick should be doing, but he is busy imposing non-performing players on the coach.

He should be held responsible if ANY of our boys suffers harm from staying in this fetish den.

THIS IS A BIG DISGRACE TO AFRICAN FOOTBALL.

Nigeria tramadol is one helluva of a drug

When are u going to put the cheap addicted infused wee down so that ur messed up brains can have a breadth and refreshes itself lol

If u aren’t a notorious weee smoker I guessed u have to checked urself into a rehab because is still open

Or better still grown some brain cells

If there’s was anything wronged with the hotel, ur officials wldve rejected it!!

U such a fool and a retard!! Lol

  • In an unrelated news, CSN why aren’t you guys talking about Maduka okoye he hasn’t conceded a goal in the month of March, and he made five saves yesterday and also kept a clean sheet. To me he deserves to be eredivisie man of the month of March it will be a case of sentimental if he isn’t given the award

    CSN is ANTI-ROAH

    They hate anything roah..

You know MADUKA OKOYE is the handi work of GENERAL ROAH.

    So that’s why?

Waste of media space abd childish to discuss where the Super Eagles will lodge and what they’ll eat Seems to me Complete Sports cannot analyse soccer strategies

    • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

@Ako Amadi don’t you think good hospitality is also part of the game?

I mean a befitting place where a player rest his head, have a good sleep and wake before a game can help in puting his mind in shape?

Expecially the ones worth the level of SE..

CSN you fall my hand…….so you can’t even simply put a call through to interview Aisha Falode yourself to get a more factual news from the horses mouth. Rather you were relying on news from an unnamed “Ghananian media outfit”!!!

This is a typical lazy journalismat its highest………..reporting from Ghanaians’ perspective like this…….”According to the top Ghanaian media outfit, Aisha Falode, a member of the NFF Executive Committee, who led a federation inspection team to Kumasi on Friday, said Ghana Football Association recommended the hotel as other major hotels in the city had been booked”

You got to do better CSN!!!
