Royal Aces and Titans basketball clubs will make their debut in the top-flight basketball league during the 2024 Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF)/Zenith Women’s Premier Basketball League, which kicks off on Sunday, September 1, 2024.
According to invitation letters sent to the 16 participating clubs by the NBBF’s Secretary General, Peter Njoku, the league will begin with eight teams competing in the Savannah Conference, scheduled to run from September 1 to 7 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the MKO Abiola National Stadium, Abuja (Package B).

The eight teams in the Savannah Conference are Nigeria Customs, Plateau Rocks, Air Warriors, Nasarawa Babes, Nigeria Army, Kada Angels, Royal Aces, and Titans basketball club.
Following the Savannah Conference, action will shift to the Atlantic Conference, slated to take place from September 22 to 28 at the Indoor Basketball Hall B3 in the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
The Atlantic Conference will feature matchups among the remaining eight teams: MFM, FirstBank, Sunshine Angels, IGP Queens, Delta Force, Dolphins, Bayelsa Blue Whales, and First Deep Waters Basketball Club.
After the games in both conferences, the top four teams from each will advance to the National Final 8, scheduled from October 13 to 19 at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
The champion of the National Final 8 will represent Nigeria at the Africa Women’s Basketball League (AWBL), with the start date to be announced later.
