Team Nigeria finished in 40th position overall on the Paris 2024 Paralympics final Medal table.
After the conclusion of this year’s edition, Team Nigeria won a total of seven medals: two gold, three silver and two bronze.
Also, the Nigerian contingent placed 4th in Africa behind Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco.
Algeria finished in 25th spot with six gold and five bronze, Tunisia occupied 27th with five gold, three silver and three bronze.
Folashade Oluwafemiayo clinched Team Nigeria’s second gold medal on the final day when she emerged tops in the women’s para-powerlifting.
Also, she broke two world records to land another gold after achieving the feat at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic.

Since 1992 Barcelona Paralympics, Nigerian Paralympians have won medals at all the nine editions they have been to.
China finished first in the final medal standing with 94 gold, 76 silver and 50 bronze, Great Britain was second with 49 gold, 44 silver and 31 bronze.
The United States of America was third after amassing 36 gold, 42 silver and 27 bronze.
