The newly remodelled facility has drawn widespread praise from football stakeholders for its pristine playing surface, which is designed to elevate the standard of play and provide a safer, faster environment for athletes.

In 2009, the city of Warri was disqualified by a visiting FIFA inspection team due to the bad pitch at the stadium.
Since then, there have been several efforts by past administrations to bring Warri Stadium back to life, but the terrain ruined it until Governor Sherriff Oborevwori came to power.

But unfortunately, it cannot host common CAF standard U-17 WAFU Tournament talk less of FIFA standard U-17 world cup.
The stadium doesn’t even WORTH the standard of Liverpool, man-city YOUTH team stadium.
NO LATEST TECHNOLOGY FACILITY.

**NO latest computer Advertisement board.

BECAUSE ordinary CIV, Morocco, Tunisia that are not OIL PRODUCING COUNTRY have more than TEN STADIA that can host WORLD CUP FINAL.
**SINCE 1980, NIGERIA cannot SINGLEHANDEDLY host AFCON**
WHAT A SHAME, DISRESPECTFUL for a country that have OIL and also blessed with other minerals resources.
I think we are gradually getting it right, the stadium is good,it meets World Cup standard. thank God for the pitch upgrades.
We have 6 stadium going to be ready nest year. Abuja, Benin, Lagos, Enugu, uyo, warri, even the one in Abeokuta.
Benin, and Abeokuta just only need to fully upgrade their pitch and it’s drainage systems.
Enugu is already on it,.
The likes of kanu, calaba, Kaduna and Port Harcourt needs to do their own too, starting from installing roofs, sits and pitch,
The above mentioned 7 stadiums will be ready by nest year, if the below mentioned four stadiums add to it by the grace of God, and ibadan and jos joins,
It will make it 13 stadiums, with 13 stadiums Nigeria should be able to host world Cup and Afcon.
Let us be optimistic about our country. I forgive the past for the excuse of subsidy.
The present government will live us a fully transformed nation to be proud of come 2031.
