Former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Dele Aiyenugba has advised the League Management Company (LMC) of Nigeria to improve the standard of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in order to discourage players from rushing to Europe for contracts.
Aiyenugba, who is currently the number goalkeeper for Kwara United stated this during an interview with Brila.net.
Recall that the former Hapoel Afula goalkeeper played 13 seasons in Israel with four teams before making a return to Nigeria ahead of the 2020-21 season.
He said that the LMC must rebrand the NPFL players by making them the face of most adverts so that they can be recognised properly.
“The only thing I want the LMC to do more is to put the Players on the advert and all those things so people will see them.
“The children will know the players, more advert more endorsements so that players will not be rushing to go to Europe when they haven’t even made their name here. So let’s give a platform to players more, make your name here and it will be easy to go to Europe.”
