Serena Williams’ former coach Rick Macci has advised Carlos Alcaraz to skip the Madrid Open in order to reset both mentally and physically.
In a chat with Sportskeeda, Macci told Alcaraz to spend quality time with his younger brother, Jaime.

“The Spanish turbo charged Cheetah is a different animal BUT anybody playing 10 matches in 12 days plus practice will feel strains and pains as your digging sliding running and gliding.
“He should rest have fun with little brother Jamie the kid and skip Madrid. @Carlosalcaraz.”
Alcaraz has won 18 ATP Tour-level singles titles, including four major titles and six Masters 1000 titles.
