Amokachi: Osimhen Will Score Goals For Barcelona, Real Madrid

Former Nigeria international Daniel Amokachi says Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen will score goals for European heavyweights Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus because he is a natural born scorer.

Osimhen has been impressive for Lille since he joined them last summer from Wolfsburg.

The 21-year-old has scored 18 goals in 38 appearances and has provided six assists for the Ligue 1 side.

And Amokachi believes Osimhen will prove himself if he is signed by Europe’s elite clubs.

“Osimhen will score goals for clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid and Juventus,” Amokachi said in his radio programme “Bull’s Pit” on Brila FM on Friday.

“Osimhen is a natural born goal scorer even if he plays for these clubs.”

The 2015 FIFA U-17 World Cup winner made his Super Eagles debut in 2017 and has scored four goals in eigh appearances.

He was part of the Eagles squad that finished third at last year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.

Aside winning the U-17 World Cup, he was a member of the U-23 Eagles that won the CAF U-23 AFCON in Senegal in 2015 under Samson Siasia.

A catchy advert for Amokachi’s show in Brila FM:

The bull’s pit – No bull sh#t! Lol!

As per the topic, I would love to see Osimhen in a big club soon. But at this stage of his career, regular football is very important. So I would prefer a guarantee of regular playing time. No point going to a big club with a big contract only to go and keep the bench warm.

The reason why he has not even score more than he has done now is because he has no world class midfielders and wingers. If he moves to a big club with world class midfielders and wingers you will see the other side of this guy. Look at Haaland of Doumout, that guy is not better than Victor. Victor is a one man squad. Remember what he did against the club that rejected him in Belgium league. Victor’s club was 2-1 down, within 7-8mins Victor made it 3-2. Making his club the winner in that said game. My only fear is Africa stuff of a thing. Will they allow him showcase his talent? Won’t they keep in on the bench? Believe it or not, Victor is far better than Tammy of Chelsea.

Victor…you are still 21, don’t bother rushing to Madrid or Barca yet. Mbappe is sure to leave PSG soon, same as Cavani or Neymar. PSG is as big as any club in Europe today. I’m sure they must have been using corner corner eyes of love (apologies to chief Zebrudaya) to look at you do your thing for Lille in the league. Your are at an arm stretch for them. There will be space for you there, you will be a guaranteed starter, the fans will not call for your head if you don’t score after 3 games, there will be world class players surrounding you, you will not need to learn another culture, you will not need to deal with any mafia, you win trophies, you will play consistently in the champions league. You will score goals…lots of goals.
If a PSG offer comes…jump at it.
