Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim believes the duo of Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon will get better with the team.
He stated this after their debut game against Leeds United in the Reds Devils’ first preseason game on Saturday, which ended goalless.
Both players started in Stockholm, each playing 45 minutes before their manager made wholesale changes in what turned out to be a disjointed and uneventful match.
In a chat with the club’s website, the Portuguese tactician stated that the Cunha and Leon had a good game against Leeds.

“I think Matheus Cunha showed what we need. That he is a player when he receives the ball between the lines can be really aggressive in the direction of the opponents.”
“We have a lack of pace, especially in the middle of the park. And you can feel it is hard to win/bring the ball. But we created chances.”
“Diego Leon comes from Paraguay. It’s his second week in Manchester. He’s done well. He’s powerful, he’s learning, he will be a very good player.”
