Amuzie Joins Slovenian Club, NK Aluminij

Nigerian defender Stanley Amuzie has joined Slovenian club topflight division side NK Aluminij of Kidričevo from Swiss side Lugano FC, reports

Amuzie signed a one and half year deal at the club.

The 22-year-old defender who previously featured for Sampdoria in the Italian Serie A and Portuguese club, Olhanense also expressed his delight teaming up with NK Aluminij who are currently third in the Slovenian PrvaLiga.

“I watched some matches of NK Aluminij and I was impressed,” Amuzie told NK Aluminij official website.

“I watched the profiles of the players and saw that this is a very young team. Young players, like me, get the chance to play and develop. That’s why I am here because I want to play and advance and help the NK Aluminij team in achieving good results.”

He also revealed he was convinced to join the club by a former teammate at Lugano and the Slovenian national team Domen Crnigoj.

“A lot of the decision made me a good opinion of the club, which was given by my teammate from Lugano and the Slovenian national team, Domen Crnigoj.”

Amuzie joined Lugano in 2017 and played 19 games for the Bianconeri before he departed.

The former Flying Sports academy star has also made eight appearances for the Nigeria, six playing the U23 level at the Olympic Games in 2016 and twice for the Super Eagles.

Stanley Amuzie,Samson Siasia’s boy a very fast left back who is good on the ball very comfortable on the field of play but very unfortunate in his European sojourn.
What has befallen this great prospect and one endeared by fan?I can’t really explain why someone so good can’t get the ball rolling even after swapping Italy for Switzerland. Now Slovenia how the cookie crumbles.
I hope your latest move will be the beginning of your upsurge.I believe if start playing to your best there won’t be a rival in the super eagles no not that I know of at the moment.

Congrats to him. Let him just start playing regularly, even if it has to be Slovenia. I believe his talent is such that it will not go unnoticed. But now is the time for him to roll up his sleeves and put the work in.
