Southampton Face New Rivals In Striker Hunt

Southampton ‘s chances of landing Birmingham’s Che Adams have been dealt a blow as Spurs have now been linked with the striker. Southampton were involved in a battle with Burnley to sign Adams in the January transfer window but the forward ended up remaining at St Andrew’s.

The Clarets were rated as the most likely side to snare the frontman last month and were reported to have seen four bids rejected.

Since the transfer window closed, Adams has revealed he was never close to leaving the West Midlands and stressed he is “happy at Birmingham and I think everyone knows that”, but there is still speculation he could depart in the summer.
