Ancelotti Lauds Players After Real Madrid Win Against Espanyol

Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has has praised his team’s resilience following their 3-1 victory over Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabeu on Saturday.

Joselu scored in the eighth minute to give Espanyol an early lead, but Real Madrid fought their way back through goals from Vinicius Jr in the 22nd minute, Eder Militao in the 39th minute and Marco Asensio in the 93rd minute.

Ancelotti praised the mobility of Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo during the game.

“The goal we conceded didn’t change our attitude and we fought back well,” Real Madrid.com quoted Ancelotti as saying.

“We were really mobile up top with Rodrygo and Vini and we created lots of chances.”

Los Blancos (the whites) are second in position on the LaLiga table having accumulated 56 points from 25 matches.

Up next for Real Madrid is the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg fixture with Liverpool at the Santiago Bernabeu next week.
