West Ham winger Michail Antonio says his team want to impress the fans in the rest of the season after beating Tottenham. The Hammers became the first visiting club to win at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, 12 years after achieving the same feat at the Emirates.
Antonio grabbed the only goal in the second half to put a dent in Tottenham’s top-four hopes as well as lifting the Hammers to 11th in the table. It has been an up and down campaign in Manuel Pellegrini’s first season in charge as they attempt to try and finish in the top half of the table.

And Antonio says he and the squad are rejecting any notion of there being nothing to play for and will do their utmost to win the remaining games for the fans. “We’ve shown in the last two games that we aren’t on holiday yet,” he told West Ham’s official website.
“We’re playing good football, attacking football, but the last two results maybe didn’t show that. Against Tottenham, we’ve managed to get the victory though. “People say we’re safe and we can go on holiday, but we’re playing for the fans. We want the fans to come and enjoy the games and finish the season well, which hopefully helps us to start next season well too.”
