Joe Aribo got very good rating for his impressive performance despite Southampton’s 3-2 defeat at home to Leicester, in Saturday’s Premier League game at St. Mary’s.
Aribo scored his first goal of the season for struggling Southampton which, unfortunately, was not enough as they surrendered a 2-0 lead to lost 3-2 against Leicester.
The Super Eagles midfielder put Southampton 2-0 ahead in the 28th minute but second half goals from Facundo Buonanotte, Jamie Vardy and Jordan Ayew, saw the Foxes come from behind to win 3-2.
Despite the defeat, Aribo’s impressive display earned him a seven out of 10 rating by Sky Sports.
He was one of six Southampton players who were rated seven for the Saints.
His Nigerian teammate, Paul Onuachu, who came on in the sefond half got five for his effort.
Wilfred Ndidi saw action for 90 minutes and earned a six rating.
Meanwhile, Southampton are yet to record a win (one draw, seven defeats) after eight games in the Premier League this season.
They are rooted in bottom in the league table on just one point, while Leicester are in 14th place on nine points.
