Champions Arsenal are ready to step up their interest in Aston Villa ace Morgan Rogers, talkSPORT reports.
talkSPORT understands Gunners boss Mikel Arteta is personally leading the drive to try and snare Rogers away from Europa League winners Villa.
Preliminary talks with his advisors are believed to have already taken place.
Arteta sees landing the England playmaker as a signal of intent after ending Arsenal’s 22-year wait for a Premier League title.
His arrival would raise doubts over the future of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard.
Arsenal are likely to face competition from Chelsea while Manchester United technical director of football Jason Wilcox is also known to be an admirer of Rogers.
talkSPORT has previously reported the 23-year-old would also be open to a move abroad after being tracked by PSG.

Villa value Rogers at a minimum of £80m but a bidding war is likely to drive that price to around £100m.
Liverpool could target PSG star Bradley Barcola if they miss out on Yan Diomande.
talkSPORT understands RB Leipzig star Diomande is one of a number of names prominent in Liverpool’s list of summer targets.
But with PSG also showing interest and Leipzig pushing for the Ivorian to stay for one more year, the Reds are casting their net wide.
Barcola has been a long-term target and there is a sense PSG could be willing to do business, especially if they land the talented Diomande.
Bringing in a new wide player is seen as a priority for the Merseysiders following Mo Salah’s departure and Cody Gakpo’s drop off in form.
Barcola has six goals and 14 assists for European champions PSG this season.
