Leicester’s Harvey Barnes says his side need to find the positives from Saturday’s 4-3 loss at Wolves. The Foxes looked to have sealed a point at Molineux when Wes Morgan headed in an equaliser after 87 minutes, only for Diogo Jota to complete his hat-trick in stoppage time.
Claude Puel was critical of his side’s performance in the first half but they showed both class and spirit in the second half.
Barnes was recalled from his successful loan at West Brom earlier this month, and, after coming off the bench in the 2-1 defeat to Southampton, was handed his first Premier League start for the club on Saturday.
The 21-year-old’s deflected strike got his team on level terms after 51 minutes before he was replaced by James Maddison for the closing stages.
Despite the defeat, the England Under-21 international felt there were plenty of plus points for his side to take from their performance. “That second half showed how we can play when we’re at it,” Barnes told LCFC TV. “This season already we’ve taken some good results against the big sides so I think we will be optimistic going into the games looking to take points out of them.”
