Bayelsa Queens have emerged champions of the 2025 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season following a comprehensive 4-1 victory over Naija Ratels in Ikenne on Saturday.
The Prosperity Girls top the standings at the NWFL Super 6 tournament with 10 points.
Bayelsa Queens will compete in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League.
Vera Samuel scored a hat-trick for Bayelsa Queens, with Mega Cynthia also on target.

Tumininu Adeshina netted Naija Ratels’ only goal of the game.
Nasarawa Amazons and dethroned champions Edo Queens battled to a 0-0 draw in their encounter.
Chris Danjuma’s Nasarawa Amazons finished second on the log with nine points, while Edo Queens came third.
Remo Stars Ladies ended their campaign in fourth position despite going down to a 2-1 loss to Rivers Angels.
Rivers Angels led 2-0 courtesy of Titilayo Aweda’s brace, while Remo Stars got their goal through Aisha Animashaun.
