Bayern Linked With Onyekuru Swoop

Everton’s forgotten striker Henry Onyekuru is reportedly set to move to Bayern Munich after a successful loan spell with Galatasaray. The 21-year-old signed for the Toffees from Belgian club Eupen in the summer of 2017 after scoring 22 goals from 38 Belgian First Division A appearances.

However, he was denied a work permit and sent out on loan to Belgian giants Anderlecht for the 2017-18 campaign. Nine goals from 19 outings followed and he was then jettisoned to Galatasaray where his 14 goals from 30 top-flight matches have helped the Turkish giants to the top of the table with just one match remaining.

Barring a huge goal difference swing on the final day of the campaign, Gala will be crowned champions while they have already won the cup, and it has been reported that they are keen to do a deal to keep the Nigeria international at the club next term, with coach Fatih Terim a big fan.

Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim both Valencia and Monaco are interested and have already approached Everton about the player, while the Bayern link is the latest to surface. Whether the Goodison Park outfit want to let Onyekuru leave on a permanent basis is open to question and his participation for the Super Eagles in this summer’s Africa Cup of Nations may well aid his chances of obtaining a work permit in the future.
