Nathan Tella was in action while Victor Boniface was benched as Bayer Leverkusen beat lower division club Kaiserslautern 1-0 in the final of the German Cup on Saturday.
Tella was introduced for Jeremie Frimpong in the 90th minute to help see out the remainder of the game.
Granit Xhaka’s 17th minute strike was enough to earn Leverkusen their first German Cup title since 1993.

They had to play the entire second half against Kaiserslautern with 10 men after Odilon Kossounou was sent off in the 44th minute.
It is Leverkusen’s second trophy for the season after landing a first-ever Bundesliga title.
The German Cup success have now taken their total number of major trophies to four (one Bundesliga, two German Cups, one Europa League).
The win against Kaiserslautern means Leverkusen is only the fifth different club to win the double since the Bundesliga was founded, after FC Bayern (13 times), 1. FC Köln, Werder Bremen and Borussia Dortmund.
