In the game union against eintracht the commentator said about Awoniyi ” Union in front in the 17th minute thanks to some ruthless and muscular center forward play.” When you see him about to score, he fights off defenders, pushes them off, cant be easily brought down. He is physical and athletic. He doesn’t rush his shot, shoot in a haste when he sees the opposition coming like some players do. He now scored his 15 league goal, when last year on loan he scored around 7. Made union berlin qualify for the europa league, not even europa league playoffs. He is not like most Nigerian players who make dumb career decisions and move backwards. This guy is all about hard work.

Well said Brodaman. Awoniyi is a player we have been praying for. Unlike Osihmen, he does not take useless bicycle kicks. Awoniyi is going back to Liverpool to win the champions league. Heaven bless Awoniyi and all the deserving Super Eagles players. Lolzzzz Za Za Za Za

@Ignatius Abo, “Useless Bicycle”, this had me laughing.

Awoniyi has really come of age!!
20 goals in top grade matches in in a season!!
Became his club record goal scorer in the Bundesliga
Helped his lowly rated club secure Europa league!!
His power play, attacking instinct and team work-ethics are great propositions for any right thinking coach.

We lost the Wcup ticket to epotism, tribalism and corruption.
Eguzero needs to be disengaged from all national team duties.
A normal organization will never allow Eguzero to be part of football management at any level.
I hope Finidi and his crew find the right balance for the team. For now, Osi, Awo and Desser are the top strikers for the team. These trio have demonstrated their capabilities in top grade matches.

The fact that he is still strutting his stuff @ the Technical Director office leaves one bewildered.

@Larry, Nigeria currently has 4 quality strikers at her disposal. Osimhen, Sadiq Umar, Dessers & Awoniyi. Talk about being spoilt for choice. Get us a proper coach not these one trick ponies.

@Golden Child, that’s correct. No doubts about Sadiq talent and quality. Hopefully, he gets an opportunity into prove his worth in top European league next season.
