    _Jamilu Collins_

After the match, first thing that came to my mind was, What next for Jamilu Collins?? Am just so sure though that he won’t go down with them. He might not be the finished product as a Left Back but the BundesLiga has really improved his all round play this season. With age still on his side, there is still room for Improvement.

Collins is such a calm player. Reads game well. His flaws for me, he still has a lot to do in a 1-1 situation and also needs to turn himself to a REAL Modern day LB that joins attack well with Superb Crosses with intent and also pull off some dribbles sometimes. Yes! I believe Collins can get to that height like Bayern’s Alphonso Davies. Anytime I watch this guy – Alphonso, he gives me joy and I just hope Collins gets to watch some of his clips. At age 19, Alphonso Davies is about to wow the world for years to come. A very brilliant Left Back. Defensively he’s good! Joining the attack, perfect! Master of Dribbles and scores like Attackers does. What else would one want from a Left Back again?? If Collins can be determined to get to this height, I believe the sky will be just his starting point.
The last time I heard a Transfer Rumour for Collins, i think it was BENFICA that came for him in January. If they come calling again, make the move bro. All the best

    • I had been praying for Paderborn to avoid the drop but now that the much dreaded is confirmed, there is nothing to gain in crying over spilt milk.

As you say my honourable Chairman, Jamilu Collins has potentials. Playing in the Bundesliga not only improved his game but it also enhanced his profile.

Going down a division is not what he needs now particularly as he needs to improve aspects of his game and help stave off intense competition for his place in the national team.

Ola Aina has done well in that position whilst Brian Idowu is still a willing Super Eagles International. Both play Premier League football.

      _What Next?_

As you say, hopefully a meaningful offer should come his way from a glamorous Premier League side. If not, he and his colleagues should reflect on the season they had and plot their way to a speedy return back to the Bundesliga.

Playing in the German division 2 should not necessarily harm his Super Eagles chances so long as he plays (very) well when called upon.

Jamilu collins, a verry good deffender and got some nice cross, But lacks creativity, he reminds me of uwa echiejile, i call their type nomore noless, i fear that both jamilu and aweziem needs to be creative in artitude towards attacking and they must build their confidents, despite alots of games for club and country these guys still lacks confidents on the ball, i them shaking on the ball like ants struggling to drag a pinut into a narow hole, ola aina(my future marcelo) he is far ahead of them, thats why clubs are always around him begging for his services, wing backs has always been very important to our football infact they are like fighter jet coming in to clear obstacles for soldiers when necesary, i dont think Nigeria ever had wing backs as poor as jamilu and aweziem in a turnament i think they happens to be the poorest in my history book. therefor both of them will soon return to where they belong. Aweziem mistake cost us against south africa in uyo, his poor clearance caused the late freekick against algeria, he with open eyes scored owngoal against lesotho, jamilu his better than him though, but doesnt contribute to attack he is also a licking hole for smart opponents, but to be honest they are both lucky to be there for now they hardly contribute to games they are just normal and thats not wat we want, i pray for ola aina, ebuehi, ehizibue and hopefully saka, to standup to the occasion like the days of ben and eguavon, cele and oparaku, udeze and abbey geoge, taiye taiwo and chidi odia, echiejile and efe ambrose, roberto carlos and cafu, alves and marcelo, thats what we actualy need who nor get am make he park jare.

  • @Collins id
hw could you possibly criticize Awaziem like that?
that guy is a central defender in nature but was converted to a wing back and he was arguebly our best wing back at the tournament.
i agree that jamilu collins is not up to par but Awaziem is a standout player.did you even watch our match against Brazil?.
for me Aina and Awaziem are the best we have in those positions.

    Back to jamilu collins,
i think he should move on if a good club come knocking.and i think france and Italy won’t be a bad move.

@King 07,”up to par”wow..!that was rather heavy for a regular international and a bundesliga player. You got to cut Collins some slack,he may not be your perfect left back but he’s in my opinion a decent left back.
I think playing too many games for club and country respectively got the better of Collins who has played well but had a couple of months of not too good performances owing to fatigue from playing many games and not having a rest coupled with injuries, besides you don’t get that playing times when you are not “up to par”!
Whether he moves on or not he’s an established international who has done well enough to be among the mix and options for Rohr provided that he keeps a good run of form and are in good health.
Awaziem may have made a few blunders here and there, but we cannot deny his industries and how well he marshalled the right back for Nigeria.Apparently,he started against Barcelona last night ahead of the likes of Omeruo,to indicate how well his Mexican manager revere him despite the error of the previous game.
Both players are good defenders who are gracing the biggest stages for the very first time, especially Collins though Awaziem had a stint in the french ligue 1,but playing in the Spanish topflight is another level.

    Collins ID,
Hehehehe! Kasala don burst for CSN ooooo! Awaziem too is not good, abi? You wiped the floor with Simon and Dennis, now it is Awaziem’s turn? Hehehehehe! E be like say we go buy boot give you ooo, make you show us how to play this football. E easy for mouth.
Did you not watch the last Afcon? Or our recent friendlies with Ukraine and Brazil? Awaziem marshaled that right back position commendably. Yes, he made some errors. But na who no dey make mistake? Just last week, CR7 missed penalty against AC Milan. Awaziem is a quality young defender who remains needed in this current squad. Even if he is not starting, he is a GREAT option to have on the bench. Stop deceiving yourself!
