Napoli To Offer Algeria Star For Osimhen

Serie A side Napoli are willing to use Algeria midfielder Adam Ounas as a makeweight in their bid to sign Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen.

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis, according to Tuttosport, has a good relationship with his Lille counterpart Gerard Lopez and the transfer could be completed for €40m.

Napoli are ready to offer Ounas, who spent last season on loan at OGC Nice in a bid to bring down Osimhen’s transfer fee.

Osimhen scored 18 goals and bagged six assists in 31 appearances across all competitions for Lille last season.

The 21-year-old has also been linked with English Premier League and La Liga clubs but Napoli are confident that they have stolen a march on their rivals for his services.

The former Sporting Chaleroi striker linked up with Lille last August for a fee of €12m.

Is it just me or does anyone else thinks Napoli has so far shown enough seriousness and desire to make Osimhen theirs….? All other clubs have just been speculating all these while, meaning Victor isnt really a priority for them. If Napoli has shown this much respect and desire for osimhen, its because they value him and really want him. But Italy and the Serie A scares me for Victor, coupled with the fact that Napoli may not make it to the champions league at the end of the season.

I was just hoping silently, that Victor’s Agent will offer him to Athletico Madrid……Little or no competition in the centre forward role, a young complementary player in joao Felix, experience and quality supply line in Saul Niguez, joke and party, quality Manager in Diego Someone…..Big stadium in Wanda metropolitan, quality oppositions and UCL!!!!!

If I have the chance to advise Osimhen, as it is right now;He should really consider Napoli. Napoli do want him and Napoli suits his style.
The problem with Napoli this season is not having that pivotal man upfront. Since Higuain left, they haven’t really found the right replacement.
They do create chances but Milik,Llorente and Lozano, haven’t really been prolific. Milik is good but always prone to injuries ,so miss lot of games.Besides, he isn’t as good in the number 9 role. Lozano on the other hand hasn’t been up to scratch and has been really disappointing.
Llorente is basically getting older and too slow for the kind of game Napoli plays.
There top man is Mertens and he isn’t that a pivotal point upfront, more of a number 8 who plays across the top line freely.

Napoli is filled with creative wiz in midfield in Fabian Ruiz,Elmas ,Insigne ,additionally Politano on loan from Inter. Not forgetting the attacking fullback Hysaj contribution too.
So in the regard of service,Osimhen would get aplenty(more than he ever gets in Lille); trusting him,he should be able to score more.

I know Napoli would not make Champions league and might miss out on Europa but it is just one season. It is a sacrifice that could come in handy in future. The CEO, De laurentis could be very handful but he is very ambitious and never settles for less. He is driven. I share that passion. I think that would be good for Osimhen.

Unless there are better offers,I think Osimhen should consider Napoli.
Napoli needs Osimhen to build back her reputation and Osimhen might need Napoli to continue to build his prolific reputation.
It might just turn to a win win.

@Mr Hush, you spoke my mind 100%. Thank you.

Come to think of it, we are the ones saying Oshimen should stay one more season at Lille to develop but He can even have the best of DEVELOPMENT at Napoli. The League is more competitive that French League and the team itself (Napoli) will aid his development. They have Quality midfielders and Wide men like you mentioned Dries Mertens, L.Insigne et al that will make scoring goals fun for him. And I bet you after just a SEASON at Napoli, the Goal records will be high and he will have the World gazing at him. Napoli is a Bigger club than Lille so the chance to announce himself to the World lyes more at Napoli.

The Interest they’ve showned so far sef! They can’t make such unwavering interest and keep him on the Bench when they get him finally. Like you said, If there are no better offers, I see no reason not to join NAPLES.

        @Chairmanfemi
        My appreciation.

        I totally share your views.
Napoli is a far bigger club than Lille and in a better league.
Ideally, moving to Napoli,is a right step to make for Osimhen’s development.
I really don’t feel there is much he can learn from remaining in the French league with Lille;( unless he is going to PSG).
So Napoli would be a good place for him in this point in time; unless , like stated earlier, he got a better offer from a much bigger club in term of playing and fee.

My broda….40m Euros plus Adam Ounas is one offer Lille will definitely be tempted to accept o. Bcos that Ounas guy na another winch waiting to fly. So its gonna be a win-win situation for Lille.

With 40m euros, they can as well go and get Dessers from Holland for 5m and Sadiq Umar from Serbia for 12m and Sam Kalu (whom Bordeaux are desperate to offload) at a cut price of maybe 5m. plus Loic Remmy already available and the likes of Ounas, Ikone and Sanches, trust me they will be rearing to go, come beginning of next season.

Lille should take this advice and come back and thank me later….LMAO

  • I hardly ever watch Nigeria matches so I don’t know a lot of the players, but after watching a YouTube video of Osimhen, I realised why all the hype. The guy is actually better than Haaland, and if he joins Napoli which is a great choice by the way, he would really be able to shine, somebody should call Real Madrid and Barcelona, they might want to keep tabs on this guy.

They’ve qualified for Europa league by getting to the final of the Italian cup. Their opponents, Juventus, would play in the champions league next season either as champions or top 4 in the league

    • Chairmanfemi 4 years ago

I think they have to win the Italian Cup before they are certified to play at Europa. But if it’s not so, all still good.

It all depends on Osimhen what he wants he could either move to Napoli or remain with his present employers, there’s just a little difference between his present employers and his suitor, besides i have my reservations about the Italian league and it’s penchant for hard tackles which send strikers to the knives.
I would rather a move to Spain or England,it doesn’t necessarily has to be a top Spanish or English teams rather he should use a mid table club as a springboard to a league contending one in the same league, this is what comes to mind as an ideal move in my opinion.

Why not Athletico Madrid for Osimhen!!!!

    • Chairmanfemi 4 years ago

      Have Atletico also showed Interest??

Glad to know that Napoli has now won the Coppa Italia. Meaning they will be playing in Europa next season if they fail to qualify for Champions League spot when the League resumes. So Oshimen can move now if they come calling biko
