A prophet has no honur in his homeland. I doubt this same measure can be found even in her home state of Delta.

Our own is to use players while they are in their prime, and then dump and forget them afterwards. And while they are still serving us, we criticize and rain abuses on them when they err. Some players even get death threats after a poor display. Perhaps it is time to borrow not just a leaf, but the entire book from our French friends.

The people that genuinely appreciate players and indeed athletes of other sporting endeavors are far outnumbered by those who don’t give a hoot. Sky high demands and expectations, without the requisite investment. And when the athletes perform well against all odds, promises made to them are hardly fulfilled.

    Whose fault? NFF.

This is why we have to work collectively to stop the old system they are using using in Nigeria.

Putting the right people in the right places in Nigeria should the number one priority but selfishness is another issue that driving the progress of the country backward.

Let’s do the talking collectively and taking the actions when it is matter most.
