Former McLaren racer Jenson Button feels Red Bull’s Max Verstappen has the ability to win the Monaco Grand Prix this weekend.
The street circuit at Monte Carlo has proved a challenge for the Dutchman is the past, as he has found the barriers in three of his previous four visits to the iconic track.

However, Button has faith that if the youngster can come through qualifying without incident and pick up a place near the front of the grid, then he does have the ability to pick up his first win of the 2019 campaign. “If Max gets Saturday right and doesn’t shunt in qualifying we all know how quick he is, and especially around street circuits,” the 2009 Monaco GP winner Button told Sky F1. “So they [Red Bull] will be there fighting with them.”
