Nice one. Looking forward to see the fringe players strut their stuff.

Well said Brodaman Glory. I too love this line up. Give some players a chance.

Good rohr.any new player who fails to impress today should never near the camp again. Let’s see what Marcos and olayinka got. This game will determine onoachu future call up.if he flops,na bye bye o

    • JimmyBall 3 years ago

@Mutum… What about an old player who failed to impress? One match should not tell the complete story of a footballer’s career… Let’s hope they all do well but there are lots of old players not pulling weight also…

    A classic 4-1-4-1

    • Hi Dr drey, I really don’t get iheanacho starting matches in SE that guy should be a supersub at his best cos he brings nothing to d table our game improved when iwobi was shifted to am n kelechi sub off,he is not a 10 nor 9 n eagles don’t have d capabilities of playing to his strength cos he slows movement, watch d match n see what he will bring…

Rohr is going for their jugular with this line up. Musa on the left, Olayinka on the right, and Marcus and Nacho in the middle, with Onuachu leading the line.
Marcus and Nacho will need to support Onauchu, so he does not end up on his own.
      Looks good to me.

    what time is the match

    • Jide Dola 3 years ago

4pm naija time. owngoal is giving us one line up, super sport is giving us another. Let’s see, whosoever is correct will be the one we will be taking his news serious from this time onward

  • Mr Ringmybell 3 years ago

Why is Iwobi benched na,,,? He was our best player to the last time

  • My last statement be4 the 1st leg I said some players are playing their last game for the super eagles. For this game some guys 2 are going to decamp those that played the 1st match. Lol.

  • This line up na wa ooooo so unexpected. Iheanacho will play close to the players upfront which means ndidi and marcus will do most of the work in midfield. But im glad olayinka is starting, he is a workaholic and would lend his strength to the midfield. No simon, should see him in the second half (he has nothing to prove). Hope marcus plays well im midfield.
It really looks like a 4-1-4-1 Formation. Lets see how it goes.

  • The line up on owngoalnigeria is the line up for today’s match. Just as I had argued yesterday, Okoye is starting, to consolidate the goalkeeping position

    Not a bad line-up..

    Simon for Musa
    Iwobi for Nacho
    Moffi for Onwuachu

Brila gathers that the Nationalilty switch of Ademola Lookman and Ovie Ejaria has been completed.

Meanwhile, Micheal Olise’s Nationality switch is still in the works as he seems to be a priority for Coach Gernot Rohr.

Between Lookman, Ejaria & Olise, we should get a offensive bite.
    It’s good news

So we can go ahead and start popping the champagne if what you say is true. I certainly hope it is. These guys will bring some much needed quality to the squad.

    • Field Marshall. General. Sir Johnbob 3 years ago

Wow that’s great news! I hope they are not picking and choosing though, they need to get all these players including Tosin and especially Ajayi all called up permanently, these will be the makings of 9ja stepping up to the next level

  • Please where is the match showing?

Go to Youtube and search for NFF TV. They are streaming it live.

Yes, now this looks a much better team formation for sure, there is attacking intent from the start, we can see oga Rohr’s thinking and big kudos to him for being so flexible as to think outside the box and show the courage to make changes and try another approach, amazingly, this formation should bring out the “spirit of the Super Eagles” from these players, my only small gripe (and it is small) is that I am a bit worried about which Nacho we will see, but overall I am happy with this team. If the great Nacho turns upwhich is possible because oga Rohr has cleverly roped him in with Ndidi and that closeness should help his game, if the wrong Nacho turns up then I hope oga Rohr will continue to be brave and take him off early with an able strong running sub as replacement.
    FORZA SE!

Complete sports you gave us a fake line up. If this is part of the propaganda ride on and do your part to destroy our sports. Idiots!

  • Mutum 3 years ago

Sack rohr now!!! With this man,we are going nowhere. How can we play 2 matches without scoring even 1. No no no unacceptable!!!

    • Sugar Daddy 3 years ago

….because nah rhor go enter the field go score the goal abi????

  • Chima E Samuels 3 years ago

The coach is good at choosing the wrong selections. Cameroon didn’t start the players they used the last time else they’ll have seen the game off easily against a boring Nigeria side. I don’t want to hear ndi Rohr this ndi Rohr that again. We never know anything, the average Nigerians are used to brainwash by just anyone aside the politicians. This coach is raw and empty!

  • Incorrect starting line-up from complete sports. When will they get their facts right. They are not even concerned that the information they put out is wrong. This is unprofessional behavior.
As for coach rohr, its high time he is replaced with someone who knows what they are doing. Someone who has a vision, someone who knows how to put a team together and who isnt afraid to try new things, new players and take risks. Someone who can identify the right kind of players we need and also knows how to use these players.
