Norwich City have reportedly missed out on Luxembourg international midfielder Vincent Thill, who is set to play for Ligue 2 side Orleans. The 19-year-old is on the books at French club Metz and spent last season on loan with French third-tier side Pau.

The forward impressed, scoring 12 goals from 28 league appearances, and it seems a few European clubs have taken note. German giants Bayern Munich are said to have had him watched on a few occasions, while it was thought the Canaries were keen to make a bid during this summer’s transfer window.
However, French newspaper L’Equipe are reporting the teenager, who has also rejected the approaches of Eredivisie side Vitesse Arnhem, will spend the campaign on loan at Stade de la Source with the team that finished eighth in last season’s Ligue 2. Thill made his international debut at just 16 and has already won 23 caps, scoring three goals, but it seems Daniel Farke will have to look elsewhere.
