Great words Ugo Iwunze. May you walk and never stumble. . Iwobi was too much today. His performance reminds me of what I miss from him last season. He had everything from assists, to link up play and his own well taken goal. This means he has 1 goal and 1 assist from 2 games already this season. That is a good start and a good stats. As we are praising his performance today so we will also take notice if he plays poorly. I will not blame the coach or other players if he plays poorly. That is just intellectual bankruptcy. Everton is a good club for Iwobi to re-launch himself. He should stay, fight for his place and prove his worth. It is stupidity of the highest order to even suggest that Iwobi should never had made the big money move to Everton. There can be no basis for such a baseless argument other than a means to provide yet another meaningless excuse for Iwobi if he underperforms. Thanks should go to all of Iwobi’s critics in Everton and Nigeria regardless of their nationalities because we can now see renewed hunger in Iwobi’s play because he does not want to disappoint fans. This has nothing to do with racism or the desire to invite Ramon Azeez to the Super Eagles or raise Keshi from the dead to coach Nigeria. Iwobi’s game was poor last season and he needs to improve. Even Iwobi knows that so I fail to see why some so called fans are running helter-skelter in the face of facts. Making excuses like, the coach does not like him, his fellow players do not like him, Everton plays boring football, fans do not know football blah blah blah are all bullshit. Nobody should come here and teach others how to criticise. Nobody made them the Arbiter of Constructive and Destructive Criticism. I rest my case for now. Anyone who wishes to take me up with all I just said, please be my guest.
    I am ever ready.

Well done to Everton. They are looking like a formidable team.

  • ALEX IWOBI Rating 8 vs Fleetwood.
A good performance from the Nigerian international as he scored a goal and set up Richarlison’s second of the match. His classy footwork was too much to take for the opposition defenders.
    More of this please

Sportsfan, sense no go kill you. I actually read this feedback of Iwobi from the Everton fanbase blog and also the official website that covers Everton matches. If Iwobi had performed badly and consequently rated poorly, some nationalistic egotistical Nigerian fans will come here and cry wolf. They will call these platforms, and their journalists, racist and they will pour abuse on their own fellow Nigerians who only state the obvious. All of a sudden, only failed footballers and Sunday league coaches will be qualified to talk about football. We should stop making stupid excuses when our players play badly. We should stop harassing journalists who write what we don’t like and we should stop calling them racist simply because they don’t share our sentiments. We should call a spade a spade and use it to pack rubbish. We are the ones killing our football with misplaced blind baseless and meaningless patriotism.
