Cardoner: ‘That Neymar Wants Return To Barcelona Doesn’t Surprise Me’

Barcelona vice-president Jordi Cardoner says it’s not a surprise thing to him that Neymar desires ending his Paris Saint-Germain career and return to Barcelona.

According to a report by Sport.es, negotiation between French Ligue 1 side PSG and Barcelona for Neymar to return to the La Liga club is currently in the early stages.

“It doesn’t surprise me that Neymar wants to come back to Barcelona. What seems true is that he wants to come to Barca,” Sports.es quotes Cardoner as saying.

He added concerning a deal between PSG and Barcelona: “We don’t know if it will come to a good conclusion. It’s not correct that we have signed Neymar.

“It’s the action-reaction that happens with some players, it’s not the first time, there are cases like Cesc and Pique.”

Cardoner describes Neymar’s quality in glowing terms, while recalling the circumstances in which the Brazil star left Barca for €222m two years ago.
“He’s a great player, that part is indisputable. The circumstances in which he left were special.

“There are things about his departure I don’t understand, we have to look over a lot of things that happened and change some scenarios.”
