William Troost-Ekong will look to start his time with Watford on a winning note when the Hornets square up against Reading on Saturday (today) at the Madejski Stadium, reports Completesports.com.
Troost-Ekong joined Watford on a five-year contract from Serie A club Napoli on Tuesday and is in line to make his debut against the Royals.
That will see him square up against Super Eagles prospect Ovie Ejaria.

Watford, who were relegated from the Premier League last season, after finishing in 19th position are unbeaten in there league outings this term.
The Hornets have won two and drawn one of their opening three games.
Vladimir Ivic’s men will need to be at their best against a Reading side that has won all three league games this game and occupy second position on the table.

Super Eagles defensive linchpin William Troost Ekong looks ahead to life in the English Championship with excitement and anticipation as he once again reaffirmed his unshakable belief that dumping Italia Serie ‘A’ for second tier football in England is a step in the right direction at this stage of his career.
When initial speculations became a matter of fact last month that Ekong was going to transfer to Watford from Udinese (where he enjoyed a stable and solid career), a swathe of Super Eagles fans became instantly dismayed.
Why would a national team regular shoot himself in the foot by doing a Michael Jackson moonwalk-backslide with his own career? What can be the rationale for swapping a first class seat on a plane to economy seat in his football journey?
It is bonkers!
But Ekong begs to differ.
“I’ve listened to the experiences (of fellow players who played for Watford), now I want to make my own,” said the 27 year old defender.
“They all had good things to say and I’m excited to be here.
It was really great to be part of an exciting time at Udinese for two years, but there comes a time to take the next step and for me it felt the right next step in my career.
The best is still to come and I want to try and win the Championship and then play in the Premier League with Watford.” declared a determined Ekong.
All that sounds good to me but some fans worry that playing in the English Championship will harm Ekong’s starting position in the Super Eagles.
I don’t necessarily subscribe to that. The English Championship may be second tier in England but in the context of European leagues, it is very respectable; and bitterly competitive.
Admittedly, the addition of new players like Akpoguma would put strain on Ekong’s Super Eagles chances. But I stand to reason that this would still have been the case had he stayed at Udinese.
If Watford win the league and gain promotion, then it would all have been worthwhile.
That journey starts this weekend. Strong performances for Watford will continue to help make a strong case for Ekong’s continued Super Eagles relevance.
