Chelsea Must Sell Mudryk, Others To Sign Osimhen –Nevin

Chelsea hero Pat Nevin believes the Blues must have to sell Mykhaylo Mudryk, other regular players if the team must fund a deal for Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen.

Recall that the Nigerian international was on Monday named the Africa Footballer of the Year, after defeating the likes of Egypt’s Mohamed Salah and Morocco’s Hakimi.

However, in a chat with TribalFootball, Nevin stated that the team must spend more to sign top quality striker like Osimhen.

“A lot of teams would be interested in Mudryk! I’m not saying Chelsea should get rid of him, but Chelsea will have to sell someone if they want to get a striker as good as Osimhen in the door.

“I didn’t like seeing Mason Mount go, and I’m sure the club didn’t either, but that sale made financial sense. I’m sure similar calculations will be going on.

“They’ll have to spend even more to get a top-quality striker in. I thought Victor Osimhen was the man a few years ago, and I still think he is.

“I’d imagine he’s the one Chelsea will go for.”

Arsenal could be a better option, that is if they show interest.

Chelsea is too unstable and directionless at the moment, with very little hope of winning anything soon. Unlike Arsenal which needs just one more CF, CM and CB to win the EPL this season, Chelsea will probably need to overhaul the entire 30man squad they registered for the EPL to challenge for the title in another 3 years from now.

Victor should apply some wisdom to his next career move. He is 24 now and needs to make the most of the next 5 years of his career, be it finance Wise or laurels Wise.

Very true @ Drey. If Osimene decides to come to Premier league, Arsenal definitely is it. Chelsea is complete in disarray and may surely need couple of seasons to return to where they belong, same goes for man utd. Liverpool could have been another option but to me Liverpool is too far away from lolzz.
