‘Truly Deserved For An Extraordinary Talent’ — Peseiro Hails Osimhen On CAF Award Success

Super Eagles head coach Jose Peseiro has praised Victor Osimhen after the striker was named CAF Men’s Player of the Year for 2023.

Osimhen made history as the first Nigerian to win the prestigious gong after Nwankwo Kanu won it 1999.

The Napoli hitman beat Morocco defender Achraf Hakimi and Egypt forward Mohamed Salah to the award.

The former Lille striker won the award largely thanks to his role in Napoli’s Serie A title win in the 2022-23 season.

He also contributed five goals in six UEFA Champions League appearances.

Peseiro took to the social media to celebrate Osimhen on his coronation as Africa’s best player.

” A big salute to @victorosimhen9 for winning CAF Player of the Year and being named in the CAF team of the year! His exceptional skill, commitment, and top-notch professionalism mark him as one of the world’s best. Truly deserved for an extraordinary talent! ⚽️ #CAFawards2023,” the Portuguese wrote on his X handle.

Mafia coach who almost assassinated the agent for exposing him yesterday. CS expose this fraud and killer before he destroys our football. Peseiro will destroy our football because it’s obvious he has a lot of rottenness and collabo with corrupt NFF can only spell doom to our nation.
