Chelsea new goalkeeper signing Edouard Mendy suffered an injury on international duty with Senegal.
Mendy joined Chelsea from Rennes last month in a £20million deal and impressed in his opening matches against Tottenham and Crystal Palace.
However, the 28-year-old is facing some time on the sidelines after the Senegalese Football Federation confirmed he had suffered an injury to his right thigh during a training session on Wednesday.
It is understood he will miss Senegal’s friendly games fixtures against Morocco and Mauritania.

If Mendy’s injury is more serious than expected, Blues boss Lampard will once again have to choose between Kepa Arizzabalaga and Willy Caballero in goal.
Kepa became the world’s most expensive goalkeeper when he was signed from Athletic Bilbao for £71.5m in 2018.
The 26-year-old’s form has been inconsistent and he has failed to convince Lampard he can be the no.1 at Stamford Bridge.
However, the Spain international has vowed to fight his way back into the Chelsea’s starting XI earlier this week.
“I feel good, strong, and confident,” Kepa said at a Spain press conference, quoted on the national team’s Twitter account.
“Perhaps it is not a dream situation, but during the soccer career sometimes you have to live moments like this.
“I’m confident I can turn it around and do my best when I play.
“We all want to play. But I don’t think about anything beyond the day-to-day life and focusing on the national team’s matches.
“We have three matches and my focus is on them.
“In the life of a footballer there are ups and downs, but in the end what is in my hands is to work.”
