Another SE prospect, congratulations to you my brother.

  • Alves that beat real Madrid draw with bacelona and atletic club was beaten 5 .0 by almeria. With Sadiq scoring 2 goals. And eagles coaches will never invite him. Probably something is wrong somewhere.

Guess his time is coming. Awoniyi, Onuachu and Osimhen, 3 quality central strikers, should be enough for the next round of international matches.

If we need a Lanky Striker, I will take SADIQ over that nonsense Onuachu anytime any day! Even if Onuachu scores 50 goals in 5 games for club, I’ll still take SADIQ Umar. I don’t know how many games that guy needs to prove to everyone that he is not a National team material

  • Last time I check, alaves is in laliga, wow wow wow, almeria most be a good team to spank a laliga team 5 unreply goals. Kudos sodiq keep the fire burning don.

Congratulation sadig. this guy for me is the second reliable super eagles tested and trusted striker like! after osihmen. He will perform anytime anyday he is invited, a very workaholic striker with high level of skills and understanding, he benched ajayi straight away when he entered into the olympic camp, he is for me ahead of the rest after osihmen, i will adverse the coach to look deep into his case as early as posible.

  • BIG NUMBER 9 DOES IT AGAIN, HIM I’M RUNNING OUT OF ADJECTIVES TO DESCRIBE YOU BRO. IM NOT THE COACH OF THE SUPER EAGLES SO I CANT FACILITATE YOUR INVITATION TO THE NATIONAL TEAM. BUT WHAT I HOPE IS THAT WITH THIS FORM YOUR IN RIGHT NOW, EVEN IF YOUR TEAM ISNT PROMOTED NEXT SEASON, YOU WILL BE PROMOTED. AND WHEN THAT HAPPENS, NO COACH WILL BE ABLE TO IGNORE YOU. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, WE ARE SEEING YOU HERE!

This guy is a complete modern day striker, be it speeds, skill and aggressiveness he has all.

He can easily fit in to Eagles pattern.

Sadiq has proved it over and over again that he is Eagles material and therefore deserves a place in the team.

Underperforming players have no more business in the Super Eagles.

All eyes are on oga Rohr now to do the right thing.

    I totally concur #Collins id & Goal.
This guy, Umar Sadiq is really doing great as a top striker. He has pace; wonderful skill-sets that readily translate to scoring amazing goals, pace, can cross the ball into the yard for others to score (e.g the 4th goal of the match vs Alaves); he gives assist; he gets penalties; he has stamina and strong.
Pls sir G.Rhor, Sadiq Umar deserves an invite to the Super Eagles now.

@Sadiq Umar, keep doing this gr8 job (do not relent), work harder, score always and the sky will certainly be your starting point. Kudos!!!

Guys are gonna hate what I have to say but someone has to say it like it is sometimes:

No way on earth that a striker playing in liga 2 will be chosen ahead of strikers performing against higher calibre defenders and defensive midfielders that ply their profession in europe’s top division. Period!

That notwithstanding, let’s give the boy Saadiq his chance to square up against the same calibre when he gets to the top division ision.  Look I’m happy as the next Nigerian that he is doing well for himself but lets not overhype what we see man.

Case in point is this game, no context is given as to how the match developed.  Yes alaves is division one but this was a copa del rey match where you typically will give fringe players a chance to get minutes, especially for a club like alaves whose priority is staying up in la liga.  Look critically at the first 3 goals and tell me you wouldnt beat that goal keeper as soon as you enter the locker room if he was on your team.  Plus no one wants to mention that alaves had a man sent off in the first half when the score was still 1-0.  I didn’t see the so-called blistering pace that some are claimimg umar has and quite frankly i’ve never remembered him to be a pacy player.  What he is is a decent player who may be above the level of liga 2 but lets stop with the hyperbole please.  If he is considered good you better believe teams in a higher division will come prowling and then we can truly gauge his level.   Until then, lets let him develop his game and if he meets up then the sky will be the limit for him anywhere invluding the super eagles.

Na my own be that o.  Oya insults come and gather.

  • I dont think anyone should be insulted or attacked because they have an opinion of their own. I believe this forum was created to accommodate as many different opinions from all who come here.I like reading different contributions from people especially those that are made based on facts and not emotions. The most I can do if I dont like your comment is to give it a thumbs down which I think is the most civil thing to do here. The other think I can do is to try and make others understand my point by educating them with some facts of my own.
For example, sadiq is not being overhyped in any way. The young man has indeed paid his dues both for nigeria and playing in some of Europe’s top leagues.
He won bronze with the Nigerian u-23 in brazil, he was introduced to the world at ROMA in ITALY SERIE where he scored a couple of goals, he was loaned out to some clubs in italy before heading to NAC Breda in the dutch top division where he scored alot of goals. He moved to rangers in Scotland, had a barren spell there due to the coach not using him, then he left and joined partizan belgrade where he scored about 17 goals and 17 assists in a season I think, he also played in the uefa cup, where he competed and scored against some of the top clubs in europe. Now he is in Spanish second division, scoring goals aplenty. Working his way to the primera liga.
No one is saying any striker playing in a top league should be dropped for him what am saying is he has the ability to hold his own if given a chance in the Super Eagles. Some of our top strikers when given the chance have underperformed. With the exception of osimhen who hasnt played in a long while now. We dont have anyone who can effectively fill the gap if osimhen gets injured. Onuachu cant do it or atleast he hasn’t done it when called upon. So why not give someone who has been around and performing like sadiq has a try.
Sadiq has a lot of attributes which one can see if you watch his videos. He has pace for someone his height, skillful, strong and creates as well as scores goals. He has been around, and has been scoring goals wherever he goals. All we are saying is give him a chance.

@sportsfan,  i do hear you loud and clear and I also commend you for your civility.

I don’t believe my comment is referring to opinions like yours which are filled with facts and common sense.  It’s the comments filled with hyperbole I’m directing my previous post to.  For example you say he has pace but qualify it by saying “for his size” which is fair enough but also underlies that his pace isnt exceptional like some would have is believe if one had never seen him play.

I guess my point is that we need to stop overhyping our players as this actually sets them up for failure when they do get the call up to the Eagles.  I think Saadiq has the potential for success however I still believe we need to see him replicate the numbers at the highest level.  So far he hasn’t done so.  The only places where he has made his mark have been in an age grade competition (olympics), serbian league (not highly rated), and now liga 2.  I think he can do it at the top but i dont know until i see it so let’s give him the chance to do so before we annoint him (based on your comment here you are not annointing him sha).

Anyways bro i hope your weekend is going well.  I’m currently enjoying this Man U vs Liverpool game and also plan on wayching some CHAN football.  Yesterday’s slate of matches were fun to watch (Cam v Zim and Mali v B. Faso)
