After 90 minutes both teams settled for a 1-1 draw with Kelechi Iheanacho putting the Eagles ahead before Mohamed Drager equalised for Tunisia.

Speaking on his debut, the former Hercules Armelo player wrote on his verified Twitter handle:”Proud and honoured to represent a big football nation like Nigeria. Proud to be a Super Eagle.”

Dessers will have the chance to feature in his first competitive game for the Eagles when they take on Sierra Leone in the 2021 AFCON qualifiers next month.

While some are rejecting Nigeria others are dreaming and embracing Naija with both hands. Such is life, never cry because of those that don’t value you, but rather embrace those that value you and treasure them and they too will bring out their best for you.

Well done Dessers, I know that one day you will make us proud.

We are truly proud of you. Once Dessers settles down, with few more games under his belt, then Belgium is gonna cry same cry as England is done for ALEXANDER THE KING IWOBI. I see a really good goal poacher in him and really happy we’ve got him. Infact may AMADIOHA Continue to blindfold ala dem foreign countries from seeing the potentials of our foreign born until we, Nigeria may have capped them. Same with Akpoguma. It’s never gonna be touch and go with blending with the mix straight away but both players honestly showed how quick they can adapt.

My only regret is that he was not given more time in these two games. I would have loved to see him for 30 to 45 minutes, if not more. Based on what he did in the few minutes he was given, there is obviously a huge potential here. Lively, good hold up play, making runs behind the Tunisian defense line, he could have had some chances if the required passes came his way. Even then, he still came close to scoring.
Definitely a good addition to the squad. Welcome aboard.
