Kano Pillars have announced the signing of Ahmed Musa and Shehu Abdullahi on a free transfer.
The duo have also been included in Sai Masu Gida’s squad for Sunday’s Nigeria Premier Football League encounter against Sunshine Stars.
The matchday six encounter will hold at the
Muhammadu Dikko Stadium.
“We can confirm that an agreement in principle has been reached with Super Eagles players, captain, Ahmed Musa MON and Shehu Abdullahi to join up with us for the 2024/25 football season. Both players have been included in the squad for our match against Sunshine Stars on Sunday,” reads a statement on the club’s official X account.

Musa is rejoining Kano Pillars for a third stint after featuring for them between 2009/10 and 2021.
Abdullahi, on the other hand, will be featuring for Pillars for the second time, having played for them in 2012.
The defensive midfielder has been without a club since January 2023. He last played for Bulgarian club, Levski Sofia.
Musa also terminated his contract with Turkish club Sivasspor in February.
During Musa’s first spell at Pillars in 2009, he ended the season as the top scorer with 18 goals before joining VVV Venlo in the Dutch Eredivisie.
