The duo of Nigerian forwards, Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon have been celebrated on the official Super Eagles’ Twitter handle for winning their respective clubs’ Player of the Season awards.
Osimhen carted home the player of the year award at OSC Lille in France while Moses Simon also picked up the very same award for Nantes in the French League 1 where both of them play.
21-year-old Osimhen has been in the form of his life since joining Lille from Sporting Charleroi of Belgium last summer, netting 18 goals and making six assists in 38 games in all competitions. He is also the Super Eagles first-choice striker.
Simon, on the other hand, is on loan at Nantes from Levante of Spain and in all competitions this season, he hit the back of the net on nine occasions while setting up eight other goals in 30 appearances.

The official Super Eagles Twitter handle while celebrating the two players on Wednesday wrote: “Congratulations to @victorosimhen9 and @Simon27Moses who have both been named player of the season for @losclive and @FCNantes respectively. Eagle #SoarSuperEagles #Team9jaStrong.”
Lille also wrote on their Twitter handle: “You’ve voted @victorosimhen9 your #LOSC Player of the Season Party popper. 18 goals in 2019/20! Fully deserved, Victor.”
