Ndubuisi Egbo’s KF Tirana move closer to the Albanian league title after they beat relegation threatened Flamurtari 2-0 on Saturday, Completesports.com reports.
A goal in each half from Ernest Muci and Marsel Ismajlgeci, secured the important win for Tirana.
Muci opened scoring in the 20th minute from the penalty spot before Ismajlgeci sealed the win in the 67th minute to make it back-to-back wins for the league leaders.
The win took Tirana’s points tally to 69 and they are now seven points ahead of second placed Kukesi with two games left to play.
Tirana could be crowned champions with two games to spare if Kukesi lose away to Vllaznia in Sunday’s game.
The last time Tirana were crowned Albanian League champions was in the 2008/2009 season.
Meanwhile, Egbo could lead his side to the double this season, as they will face Teuta Durres in the final of the Albanian Cup on August 1st.
