Eguavoen: Bonke Ready To Step In For Injured Ndidi

Super Eagles interim technical adviser Augustine Eguavoen insists Lorient midfielder Innocent Bonke is a good replacement for the injured Wilfred Ndidi, reports Completesports.com.

Ndidi will play no part in Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoffs against the Black Stars of Ghana as a result of knee injury.

The midfielder sustained the injury in Leicester City’s UEFA Europa Conference League League clash against Ligue 1 club Rennes last week.

Bonke was later drafted in as late replacement for the former Genk of Belgium player.

Eguavoen stated that he has confident in Bonke’s ability to step in for Ndidi against the Ghanaians.

“I work hard on information. I believe strongly in the fact that everyone invited to the team is good enough to start,”Eguavoen told a press conference on Wednesday.

” I know what to expect from Bonke and so I trust him well enough to do a good job if he is selected to play.”

Most likely one person is in a monologue up here.

Whoever is replacing the injured Ndidi is alright by us but coach Eguavoen should ensure Amoo is in the starting eleven to unsettle the black stars as quickly as possible. That is a game we can’t afford to draw.

    • Nelson 3 years ago

That’s okirika Nigeria at his best…

I would rather Etebo is played in place of Amoo. Meanwhile, I can’t wait to see Austin’s Eguavoen at the dugout tomorrow as the goals rain. Good Luck SE.

Are you not thanking God he is not yet a Ghanaian? A certain name is already a nightmare. Look up for the even and odd numbers. Lol.

      • Edafe Ehs 3 years ago

No, he will soon metamorphosis into a Ghanaian is making one of us famous on the platform.

  • Umanna Basse 3 years ago

He he he. It’s possible your tribal unique name is more popular as compared to the one being forced in. Concerning Bonke, coach Why made the wisiest decision because Bonker is a better replacement and could start with Aribo and Amoo.

  • George 3 years ago

    @Bob Martins, I will go with @Nelson

  • Caleb 3 years ago

Is okirika Nigeria some kind of name or international identity?

  • Michael 3 years ago

You didn’t start at the region but international. Is that how much you like everything international? Bro, Bonke is starting tomorrow irrespective of what the coach is saying.

  • Fadairo 3 years ago

He can’t do without Ghana flag.
