Eguavoen Was Not In Charge Of Eagles –Udeze

Former Nigerian defender, Ifeanyi Udeze has revealed that former Super Eagles interim coach, Austine Eguavoen was not fully in charge of the senior national team during his three month reign as coach.

In an interview with Brila FM, Udeze blamed Eguavoen for not having enough guts to stamp his authority on the team and not taking key decisions when it mattered most.

He also advised the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to appoint a foreign coach that will manage the Super Eagles.

“As much as I want an indigenous coach to be in charge of the Eagles, a foreign coach must be the head,” the former PAOK Thessaloniki star stated this in an interview with Brila FM.

“Eguavoen was not fully in charge of the Eagles for the World Cup qualifiers because he had said he invited some players to the team to pacify some individuals at the NFF.

“That showed that he did not take full charge of the team. Those that he tried to pacify then where are they now?

“Some of his decisions during the game (versus Ghana) also didn’t show he had enough information about the opponents he was playing (against).

“I find it very annoying to know that it was an Eagles player that informed the technical crew that the Ghanaian team had switched to a back five at half time when we introduced Abdullahi Shehu.

“We had a creative player in Akinkunmi Amoo who should have been introduced to help the team from the bench but that did not happen.”

Udeze did you just realized that you are a Nigerian? We are all about how to move Nigeria football forward bearing in mind that preparations for the 2023 Ad on is starting in three months. Armchair critic is not what we need now.

I tire o for some of these little unknown former eagles player. Eguavoen was in full control of both the game in Kumasi and Abuja. We saw Moses Simon had a clear goal scoring opportunity, I mean the pass delectably sent his way by Iheanacho but he fluttered it. Are you going to blame Eguavoen for that?

No wonder you people sideline him because he likes saying the TRUTH…

How can you tie a game to one player missed chance a goalkeeper mistake? That’s absurd, we are talking about the game in general , the set up, tactical approach, you can play beautifully and still lose and in that case you can emphasis on an individual error but not when you are tactically a ghost.

I throw my hands for you, black sheep. You are really doing your work for NFF, even with fake likes! The SE is finished. Can we upgrade our tennis–lawn, table, or beach–I don’t care.

@Friday, the goal scored by Partey in Abuja was an error caused by Uzoho otherwise Ghana couldn’t threaten Eguavoen tactics all through the match. I really don’t know what the problem is with some of these ex players who themselves were products of tribalism during their time.

Ok o, it was udeze that was in control. Imagine the short brat.

  • Even in Abuja Osimhen’s goal was disallowed. Some VAR would have over looked it. Uzoho accepted error, udeze.

KEN if you read UDEZE’S post you will understand that why we are out is due to the TACTICAL and TECHNICAL CLUELESSNESS of YOUR OWN…

    • MONKEY POST 2 years ago

So stop using the UZOHO ERROR and the OSIMHE DISALLOWED GOAL as an EXCUSE…

obviously from your name, i will accept you just clueless. There were many begging chances that were not taken in that match. The needless scissors kicks oshimen was shooting over the goalpost clearly shows he is still a rookie. Kindly, give the coach a break because at the end of the day he would not be the one to come to the field of play to execute the game plan. So when did it become a crime to bring to your coaches attention that a team has switched to a back 5.

And our own mr technical adviser was busy telling our boys to continue expressing themselves, no tactical changes to counter the Ghanaian tactical change… Pitiful and funny… Lol..

Eguavoen is so full of egomania and contradictions because he talks so much. Talking rather than thinking and coaching made him forget to fashion out a winning strategy to finish off the Ghanaians in Abuja.I hope he becomes a pastor some day.
