Chidera Ejuke has expressed his delight after helping Sevilla secure an impressive 3-1 victory over 10-man Athletic Bilbao at the Estadio San Mamés on Saturday night.
The visitors continued their impressive start to the new season with a commanding display against the Basque side.
Athletic Bilbao were reduced to 10 men in the 11th minute after Yuri Berchiche was shown a straight red card.
Oso capitalised on the visitors’ numerical advantage by opening the scoring four minutes later.
Ejuke, who started the game on the bench, was introduced at the start of the second half and made an immediate impact for Sevilla.
The Nigeria international doubled his side’s advantage in the 50th minute, finishing superbly after being set up by Isaac Romero.

Romero then got his name on the scoresheet seven minutes later to extend the Rojiblancos’ lead to 3-0.
Athletic Bilbao pulled one back through Aitor Paredes in the 70th minute, but Sevilla held firm to secure all three points.
Ejuke Thumbs Up Away Victory
Ejuke expressed delight with his contribution to Sevilla’s victory.
“We’re happy with the game. Six points in two games and a good team spirit. We’re already thinking about the next one,” Ejuke told the club’s official website.
” I always try to be available to help the team in any way I can. In the two games we’ve played here, I’ve been able to help the team, and I’m very happy about that. I wanted to play my game, stay focused, and give it my all.”
Sevilla will host Atletico Madrid in their next LaLiga fixture, while Athletic Bilbao will travel to face Barcelona.
