Ejuke Not Desperate To Leave Heerenveen

Chidera Ejuke is not thinking about leaving Dutch Eredivisie side Heerenveen this summee despite persistent reports linking him with a move away from the club, reports Completesports.com.

Ejuke has been linked with a move to Feyenoord and Ajax after making a big impression in his debut season in the Eredivisie.

The Nigerian winger scored nine goals and recorded four assists before the season was halted due to the coronavirus crisis.

“I’m not busy with a transfer at all,” Ejuke told Algemeen Dagblad.

“Do you know what it is? I see my career as a great adventure, of which I am only at the beginning. I have to do what I have always done: work hard and be patient.

“But above all, I want to be happy and stay healthy. Especially now we all realize that this is the most important thing.”

Ejuke previously showed that money is not his main motive, by choosing the Abe Lenstra Stadium last summer by shuning the likes of Benfica, SS Lazio and Celtic.

“After talking to the trainer and the technical manager I knew enough. I can become a better footballer at this club. And I have never regretted my choice. On the street, the people are friendly, while everyone at the club want to help and give me confidence,”he added.

Wise boy. Thumbs up. If it’s not Ajax or feyenoord, or other top club with game time guaranteed, better to remain at heerenveen. You have got the repertoire of skills that will soon resonate across the football world. You are just at the decision point to make that happen. One bad decision, then you done. That bad decision will be money driven instead of development driven. Watch it.
