Everton have completed the signing of Christian Nørgaard from Arsenal on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.
The Toffees announced Norgaard’s signing in a statement on Wednesday.
“The defensive midfielder, who boasts a wealth of leadership and playing experience – including 41 caps for Denmark and a Premier League winners’ medal with the Gunners – has signed a two-year contract with the Blues until the end of June 2028.
“Nørgaard previously enjoyed spells in Denmark, Germany and Italy before heading to England seven seasons ago, and becomes Everton’s fourth addition of the summer transfer window following the acquisitions of Merlin Röhl, Tyrique George and Hayden Hackney.

“Copenhagen-born Nørgaard began his playing career at the age of 17 with Lyngby and, following a brief spell in Germany with Hamburger SV, returned to Denmark in August 2013 to join Brøndby, where he captained the side and won numerous titles.
“After five years with the Danish giants, a move to Italy with Fiorentina followed ahead of a switch to Brentford the following summer.”
