Exclusive: FIFA U-20 WC: Brazil, Italy Not A Threat To Flying Eagles -Lawal

Former Super Eagles winger, Garba Lawal believes Brazil and Italy won’t pose a threat to Nigeria’s Flying Eagles quest of making it out from the group in the 2023 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

Recall that Nigeria was pitted in a group tagged as the group of death alongside Brazil, Italy and Dominican Republic.

However, in a chat with Completesports.com, Lawal stated that the Flying Eagles will edge two of the big teams to qualify to the knockout stages of the competition..

“I am not worried that the Flying Eagles have been grouped with Brazil and Italy because I know this is an underage competition and not the senior national team.

“Brazil is a big name at the competition but that doesn’t mean they will have it easy with Nigeria. So also Italy who I think won’t be of a big threat to the Flying Eagles.

“Our focus should be on Dominican Republic who many people are seeing as the underdog in the group. They may just be the main team that will shock the so called big teams in the group.”

Bro, the Aboki dude is right, they’re not a threat to Nigeria, but they’re a threat to the Arewa under 20 a team headed by coconut head Bosso.

Listen darling, Bosso will succeed. He is a good couch. Just leaf him to do his work. Love you. XXX

      • If you watch WAFU, how can you rate the input from Nigeria bench during games?
This competition is world class. Input from the bench matter a lot.

You are so right darling. Bosso has changed. He is now good. Xxx

  • It’s a big treat with the kind of Nigeria coach.
Nigeria don’t have coach that can read game as it progresses and know what to do with the available resources on the field and bench.
So, stop deceiving yourself and football loving Nigerians.
Though, thank God as there is hope for best losers in this competition.

Ladan Bosso’s team will barely make it out of the group as best 3rd place, nothing more. Watching the team in the AFCON U20 simply confirm the mediocrity of the coaches hence cannot hold itself against the world best except the team is overhauled with addition of enterprising foreign players

You are telling lies Doctor. Nigeria will top the group, darling. We are going to have few foreign based players, but the team is already good enough.
      Love you. Xxx

Leave the coach to do his job. Nigeria has too many arm chair coaches. The Flying Eagles team will do well.
