FA Cup: Ighalo Gets Highest Rating In Manchester United’s Win Vs Norwich City 

Odion Ighalo got the highest rating among Manchester United players, following their 2-1 win against 10-man Norwich City in Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup quarter-final, Completesports.com reports.

The ratings was done by football fans and published on BBC Sport.

Ighalo who opened the scoring for United got 6.10 rating, for his impressive performance.

January signing Bruno Fernandes was second with 5.88, in third was Anthony Martial with 5.65 while skipper Harry Maguire who scored the winner got 5.64.

Ighalo’s goal against Norwich was his third in two Emirates FA Cup appearances for United this season.

He has scored five goals, provided one assist in 11 appearances in all competitions.

The on loan striker was quickest to react to a Luke Shaw’s deflected cross, stabbing the ball past Norwich keeper Tim Krul.

Norwich equalised thanks to Todd Cantwell whose long range strike beat Sergio Romero in goal for United.

In the 88th minute Norwich were reduced to 10 men after Timm Klose was shown a straight red card for a challenge on Ighalo.

And with two minutes remaining in the second half of extra-time Maguire slotted home the winner, to send United into a record 30th semi-final appearance.

The Emirates FA Cup quarter-finals will continue on Sunday with three fixtures scheduled to take place.

The first game will see Sheffield United welcome Arsenal and Leicester City vs Chelsea will play next at the King Power stadium.

And the final last eight fixture is between Newcastle United and holders Manchester City at St. James’ Park.

The semi-final fixtures will hold inside the Wembley stadium.

    Just when I have made up my mind to start reading your post @ Deo, you suddenly stopped posting. Seems like I have said something really bad to hurt you. I have come out to say I am truly sorry for whatever I might have said that you not happy with. Don’t think we should be making enemies because of this temporary world talkless of football. If we don’t agree on issues, ok to avoid each other or find other subjects to agree on, instead of hurting someone. I feel really bad when I cause others pain. @ Deo I m honestly very sorry for whatever I might have said that may have caused you any pain. Maybe when I m on a different understanding going forward, I should just ignore n avoid replying.

  • I guess the 6.10 is good him , A brace could have got him 7.and hatrick got him 9. The rating is good.
