FUMAN Edge Out BRILA MEDIA As Maiden LEAGA 2026 Kicks Off

The Fuji Musician Association of Nigeria (FUMAN) defeated Brila Media 1-0 as the maiden edition of the Lagos Entertainment Association Games and Awards (LEAGA) got underway on Tuesday, September 22.

The game was played at the Yaba College of Technology Sports ground, in Yaba.

After a tense and highly competitive encounter, FUMAN broke the deadlock in the second half.

Prior to the game, the official opening ceremony was held with lots of fanfare and also top dignitaries in attendance.

Among those present at the opening ceremony were chairman of Studio 18 Hub and organiser of LEAGA 2026, Olufemi Oladeinde, nollywood actor LEAGA Amazon Ambassador Ronnie Dikko Kila, Commissioner for Tourism, Arts and Culture in Lagos State Toke Benson-Awoyinka, who was represented and all the participating associations.

Also present at the ceremony were founders of the popular pan-African travel and culture television show Goge Africa, Isaac and Nneka Moses.

Activities that marked the opening ceremony were match pass by the participants, performance by the Lagos State chapter of the Guild of Nigerian Dancers.

Meanwhile, activities lined up today (Wednesday) include Ayo Olopon, Football, Draughts, Snookers, Table Tennis and Tennis.

The five-day tournament, which will take place at three different venues – Yabatech, Rowe Park and Studio 18 Hub – will end on Saturday, September 26.
