Nottingham Forest captain Morgan Gibbs-White has been named Premier League Player of the Month for April after a series of standout performances.
Gibbs-White scored four goals and provided an assist across just three matches, including a 15-minute hat-trick in Forest’s 4-1 comeback win over Burnley. Also, he netted a goal and had an assist in a 5-0 victory against Sunderland.
His performances helped Forest move further clear of the relegation zone, with the club now six points above the bottom three.
Gibbs-White becomes only the second Forest player to win the award, following Chris Wood last year.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award after overseeing a perfect April.
Those results included a 2-1 success over title rivals Arsenal, a 3-0 victory over Chelsea and a 1-0 win against Burnley.
Guardiola has now won the Manager of the Month award 13 times, the third-most in history and just two fewer than former Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger’s record.
