Ademola Lookman has expressed his delight after opening his goalscoring account for Atletico Madrid this season, reports Completesports.com.
Lookman found the net in Diego Simeone’s side’s impressive 3-1 victory over Sevilla on Saturday night.
The Nigeria international scored Atletico’s second goal of the encounter in the 26th minute as the Rojiblancos secured maximum points.
Lookman Pleased With Atletico Display
The winger was impressed with the overall performance of his teammates and was particularly pleased with the way Atletico executed their game plan.

“I’m very happy with the three points, of course,” Lookman told the club’s official website after the game.
“We played very well today. We were very sharp in the right moments. So, yeah, three points, on to the next game.”
Happy To Get Off The Mark
Lookman also admitted it was satisfying to score his first goal of the new campaign, although he insisted the team’s victory remained the priority.
“Good to get off the mark, of course. I’m happy to win and that’s the most important thing,” he added.
“But also playing together as a team today, in those moments, was great. Yeah, I’m happy.
“Obviously, top players interlinking together, playing with the same mindset. Of course, I’m happy to play with the guys.”
